Mary Baker Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." These words have been constantly with me since the passing on of my husband in 1939. With four children in the teen ages, man adjustments were necessary. For these I have relied absolutely upon God and many beautiful demonstrations have been made.

My two sons were able to pass the required examinations for the Navy V-12 program. When having the various inoculations required, they depended entirely on Christian Science, and suffered no bad effects.

A few years ago one of the tubes in my electric refrigerator sprang a leak, causing a poisonous gas to pour out into the refrigerator and room. This gas was so strong that it burned all the leaves on bushes and plants outside the house. While removing the food from the refrigerator I was very badly burned on the inside of my mouth and throat by the fumes. A Christian Science practitioner and a Christian Science nurse were called and treatment was given. In a week's time this condition was completely healed.
