For the privilege of attending...

For the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School for seventeen years, I am profoundly grateful. In times of difficulty, I have always turned to God, who, as the Bible states (Psalms 46:1), "is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble,"

Twelve years ago, as the result of an automobile accident, I found myself in a hospital, having been rushed there by a witness. My family were immediately summoned and they, in turn, called a Christian Science practitioner, who had previously successfully seen us through a trying experience. X rays were taken of my nose, which specialists diagnosed as fractured. I had been under observation for two days, because of severe swelling through the face, when the physicians, who appeared baffled as to how to set the nose, took another X ray, which showed the bones perfectly set and already knitting. One specialist remarked that human hands could not have accomplished such a perfect operation.

I was then exempted from using all materia medica remedies and was released from the hospital in one week. Swollen, bruised eyes and other parts of the face which had been injured were completely and permanently healed.
