I should like, once again, to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science and the wonderful healing power and protection it gives us. I simply cannot think what I should have done without Truth to sustain and comfort me during a recent trying experience, when one very dear to me was killed by enemy action. Grief and self-pity were healed by the realization of man's inseparability from God, and the eternality of Life and Love.

At the same time I myself received wonderful help when, owing to a flying bomb incident, I suffered various bruises, abrasions, and a fractured shoulder, which has been entirely healed by mental surgery alone.

I was sent to a War Emergency Hospital, where an X-ray photo was taken. My teacher in Christian Science was asked if he would give me treatment, which he lovingly agreed to do immediately. I informed the hospital authorities that I was a student of Christian Science and wanted no material remedies.
