For a long time I have felt that I should express my great debt of gratitude for Christian Science and for some of the many blessings and proofs of God's love and protection which have been mine for many years through the study and application of this Science. Therefore it is with a heart full of gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for her gift to all mankind that I give this testimony.

Early in my experience in this truth I walked into an open elevator shaft, and realizing that I was falling headforemost I put my arm out to protect myself. After leaving the scene of the accident, I talked with a Christian Science practitioner. When I reached home a member of the family insisted that a surgical examination be made. This showed that one hand, both wrists, both elbows, one knee, and my collar bone were broken. The surgeon who set these bones said that I would always have stiff joints, but the only stiffness was in the arm which was put in a steel cast, and that stiffness was healed through Christian Science.

At another time a scaffold fell with three other men and me on it. When I arrived home and my shoe was taken off, three bones were protruding almost through the top of the foot. A Christian Science practitioner was called and work taken up, with the result that in an hour I felt the broken bones go back into place. This occurred on Monday, and the following Wednesday I wore my shoe and drove to the Wednesday evening meeting.
