To say that I am thankful for...

To say that I am thankful for Christian Science seems inadequate but it is my earnest desire each day to prove my gratitude by leaning more on God.

Through reading Science and Health by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, a member of my family was healed of nervous prostration of seven years' standing. Since that time God has been her only Physician. She enrolled me in the Christian Science Sunday School and I enjoyed the privilege of attending until reaching the age of twenty. I wish to express my sincere appreciation of every teacher who taught me. Here the seeds of Truth were sown, and they have since proved my only remedy for every ill.

When it became necessary for me to leave my loved ones, an experience came to me that taught me beyond a doubt that we must work out our own salvation. While riding in a car on a slippery road, a friend and I crashed into a telegraph pole. Three days later I awakened to find that I was in a hospital with a fractured skull and concussion of the brain, and with no hope held out for my recovery. I requested to be moved to my home. A Christian Science practitioner was called and immediate work was taken up.

Three months later I was back at business, well and happy. I am deeply grateful for this experience, for it awakened me to the necessity of claiming my at-one-ment with my Father-Mother God. My gratitude to my practitioners for their loving help and patient understanding is beyond expression in mere words.

I consider it a wonderful privilege to be a member of The Mother Church, to serve in a branch church, and to have had class instruction, which brought much joy and unfoldment. Our periodicals are always a source of inspiration. I am grateful to our Leader for this wonderful, practical, and demonstrable religion, which is blessing the world.— (Mrs.) Olive G. Shackleton, Westfield, New Jersey.

I wish to verify my daughter's statements in the foregoing testimony.

I received my first healing in Christian Science through reading Science and Health. Its absolute statements, read and reread, brought about a complete healing of nervous prostration.

I, too, have joined The Mother Church and a branch church. Class instruction was indeed a source of inspiration and growth.—(Mrs.) Christine Sandholt, Perth Amboy, New Jersey.
