Christian Science has been my only help since I was born, and I am very grateful that I have never accepted any other. Many Problems have come up, but they have been solved either through my own work or that of a practitioner. I have been attending the Christian Science Sunday School since I was three, and have learned a great deal from every Sunday school teacher I have ever had.

I had always wanted to prove in some significant way that God, Mind, is the only power, and on December 7. 1941, the opportunity came. At that time, my parents and I were living in Honolulu, Hawaii, just about ten miles from Pearl Harbor, in a rather unprotected valley, before breakfast that morning, as was our custom, we repeated a citation from Mrs. Eddy's works, and chose the definition of "Mind" given on page 469 of our textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." which includes the words, "We bury the sense of infinitude, when we admit that, although God is infinite, evil has a place in this infinity, for evil can have no place, where all space is filled with God."

We all commented on the comfort we felt in knowing that God is everywhere, all-powerful, and that nothing can disturb the harmony which is rightfully ours. We closed with the Daily Prayer from the Manual of The Mother Church, and all of us felt very much uplifted in our knowledge of God's protection.
