"And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land" (Isa. 32:2).

As a child I had the great privilege of association with a Christian Scientist who was my music teacher. Through knowing her I learned to love this Science. A little later my parents allowed me to attend a Christian Science Sunday School, a blessing which no words of mine can adequately describe. No parent could give to a child a greater heritage, and well do I know this.

I was so completely healed in Science of a nervous breakdown that I experienced no aftereffects. The healing was a slow one, and at times discouragement had to be overcome. I had to learn that the methods of material psychology are no part of true metaphysical healing in Christian Science. Through a growing realization of divine Love as the only Mind, ever present, I was freed from various phases of fear, superstition, resentment, and false pride. This healing occurred many years ago, and as a result I have experienced greater strength, courage, and love than ever before.
