From the first, Christian men have been stirred by the hope of a coming kingdom of God, not simply in heaven above, but here upon earth, and not simply a rule of power over things and men, but a rule of love and righteousness in men and in all human life. How is this rule of God to come?

The rule of God must first come within....There can be no new world except as there are new men: men with a new faith, a trust in God and right, men with a spirit of sincere good will for all. The life that is within must work out.
