On many occasions the opportunity has been afforded me to prove the truth of the following statement on page 494 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."

Over twenty years ago I was in an automobile accident. With the aid of a Christian Science practitioner improvement was so rapid that the following day I was able to be up, and within a week returned to my work. A few years later I lost my position. A harmonious adjustment of my affairs followed as a result of my understanding that man, God's idea, is forever in his rightful place, and that God is the only employer.

While in a public restaurant I was suddenly stricken with a certain form of paralysis. Within a month I was completely healed through a clear realization that wholehearted co-operation with the practitioner was necessary. Incidentally, there were two nights which I spent almost entirely in prayer. My business is of a mechanical nature, and during this experience not a moment was lost from my work, proving the truth of the Biblical statement, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me" (Phil. 4:13). This healing has been permanent.
