In loving and sincere gratitude to God for the healings, joy, and comfort which Christian Science has brought into my life, I should like to relate some of the healings I have experienced.

As a child I was looked upon as delicate. I had weak and inflamed eyes, which were a constant source of discomfort. As I grew into womanhood a distressing form of nerves manifested itself, and I lived in constant fear of its attacks. At this period I was forced to give up my work and seek health in a lower altitude. Here I came into contact with a family who were Christian Scientists, and soon was impressed by the harmony in their home. I had always had a strong leaning towards religion, but my own religion had failed to bring any physical healing. In this home I saw many proofs that Christian Science heals physical conditions, and soon became deeply interested, with the result that I was healed of the nervous condition. The inflamed eyes were healed after I had received one week's treatment from a practitioner.

For many years after this I enjoyed normal health. Then a great testing time came. A lump appeared in my breast, which troubled me day and night. At this time I realized very clearly that I had always had a hidden fear of cancer and that now I had come to a stage where this fear had to be destroyed. I had help from a practitioner at different times, but the condition continued for several years, and I gradually lost weight.
