I desire to express gratitude for the blessings God has bestowed upon me through the study and practice of Christian Science.

Thirty-two years ago I came to Christian Science seeking physical healing. I had worn glasses from childhood, and prior to my study of this Science I had consulted eminent physicians, who told me that only an operation would help save my sight. The last eye specialist said that he had given me the strongest glasses possible and there was nothing more he could do. He advised the utmost care, saying I should be blind within six months. But "man's extremity is God's opportunity." I put aside the glasses within a year. In my first Christian Science treatment I was healed of the fear of going blind, when it was explained to me that God was my Father, and that He did not send sickness upon His children.

Sick headaches were gradually healed. The next to the last attack occurred when I was in a practitioner's office and was so ill that I began to lose consciousness. Work was done audibly, and before the treatment was completed I was healed. The last attack was healed during the reading of the Lesson-Sermon by my husband, when I was too ill to read but held on to every statement of truth as it was being read to me. Before coming into Christian Science I had spent two to three days in bed at a time with sick headaches.
