God Made Me
[Of Special Interest to Children]
At Thanksgiving time the children in the second grade in school were listening to the story of the Pilgrims and their first Thanksgiving. They were very much interested in the pictures of the Pilgrims going to the little log cabin church and hearing how they gave thanks to God for His loving care and for all the good things that had been grown during the year.
The teacher then said: "Let's have a reading lesson and make 'a thank you chart.' I will write, 'I am thankful,' at the top of the chart. You will tell me all the things you are thankful for and I will write them there."
One child after another said he was thankful for this or that, and then Billy said, "I am thankful that God made me." And so the lesson went on.
