I should like to express my gratitude...

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has done for our family of four in the past twenty years.

My first healing was of trouble with my back. After I had tried all material remedies I was healed through Christian Science in one or two treatments. Since then I have been healed of a severe nervous breakdown. This was a slow healing, but I am glad that I had to work and strive for it. I am grateful for the patience of the practitioner through those days and nights, until the complete healing was realized. I have also been healed of biting my finger nails. False appetites have been overcome. Our two children have been reared in Christian Science and have never known or tasted any medicine. They have been wonderfully protected when playing with other children who had so-called contagious diseases. Every problem has been met through Christian Science treatment.

A member of our family was badly crushed between two trucks, and was in the hospital when I was notified. I got in touch with a practitioner and the patient decided that he wanted to come home. It was necessary for me to sign a release that I would be responsible for whatever happened to him. I knew the responsibility was God's, and that He never fails us if we put our trust in Him. A wonderful healing followed. The physical healing is small compared with the peace of mind which has come through the study and application of Christian Science.

I should like to mention a few more healings which have taken place: a leg straightened that was crooked from birth, the healing of measles, whooping cough, cuts, burns, colds, impaired eyesight, and of many other ills too numerous to mention.

I am most grateful for the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy; grateful for everyone who has helped me along the way, for the privilege of serving in the Cause of Christian Science, and for what Science is doing for mankind.— (Mrs.) Edith N. Brown, Los Angeles, California.

I am happy to verify my wife's statements in regard to the above healings in our family. I am the one who was crushed between the trucks, and I am very grateful for the healing that followed. I am also very grateful for Christian Science and for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church.—Ray Brown.
