Eternal Joy
Whatever
mists enshroud the way,
I still shall hear the Christ, Truth, say,
"My joy is thine eternally;
That joy no man may take from thee."
The torch of Truth burns ever bright,
Transforming shadows into light;
I know its beacon shines forever
To lead me on to high endeavor,
And when the world grows drear and cold,
Christ's warmth and tender love enfold
My thought. So shall Truth's joy abide
With me, and I am satisfied.
In this I find my strength and stay,
That none may take this joy away.
