Several years ago I fell down a long flight of stairs with such force that I was unconscious for a time. With returning consciousness, I found myself declaring that God does not know of accidents. I was alone in the house, but after a time I was able to crawl up the stairs and reach the telephone. I called a practitioner, who lovingly took up work for me and in a short time came to my home.

I had a broken collarbone and three broken ribs, and was badly bruised. Although not unmindful of Mrs. Eddy's words in Science and Health (401:27-402:3), we worked all that day as we know how to work in Christian Science, and when my husband came home in the evening, I was able to prepare our dinner as usual. This accident occurred on Monday morning, and during Tuesday night I felt the bones come together perfectly. There was never any further discomfort from this experience. I have always been very grateful not only for the physical healing but for the realization of the nearness of God during those two days.

In the many years that I have been studying Christian Science, I have experienced countless blessings. I have seen many healings, including an instantaneous healing of diphtheria experienced by my husband. I was sustained at a time of grief following the sudden passing on of a loved one, and I have seen supply abundantly manifested for my needs.
