Christian Science Committee on Publication for Indiana Reports

A heading of an article in an Indianapolis paper implied that Christian Scientists were conscientious objectors. An authoritative statement from The Christian Science Board of Directors clearly stating our position was incorporated in a correction, which was graciously accepted and published.

State Committees or their approved representatives are privileged to talk about our movement to non-Science groups. After a talk to a group of young people of the Disciples of Christ church, both its teacher and its young president desired a copy of the textbook. Each read it through, and the young president, now in our armed forces, became an interested student, and is the grateful possessor of a soldier's edition of the Bible and the textbook.

The Mother Church Directors, realizing that there are increasing calls from school and college students for thesis material regarding our Leader or Christian Science, asked State Committees to prepare a letter or outline of authorized information to be readily available. An approved letter for this purpose is on hand in this office.
