I give this testimony with the sincere hope that anyone who is suffering from the same malady that once afflicted me will receive new courage and health from the assurance that it can be healed.

When I came to Christian Science, I was looking for the healing of heart disease. At that time I was a director of a hospital and had the best medical care, but the doctors gave me little hope that I would get better; in fact, I grew worse from day to day. I had reached a stage where the doctors recommended a tank of oxygen, which I had to inhale under cover to facilitate my breathing.

At this time a loving neighbor said to us, "Why don't you try Christian Science?" We grasped at this, and engaged a practitioner, who advised me to obtain the Christian Science textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and read it and also to read the weekly Lesson-Sermon. After concluding the chapter on Prayer. I was convinced that Christian Science teaches the truth. I could not go back to my own church. I had an absolute faith that I should be healed in Christian Science.
