The Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, was brought into our home in 1908, and I soon began to read it. Shortly after this, while going home from the office one evening, I turned my ankle. I thought, This is your opportunity to prove what you have been reading. Instead of applying the usual material remedy, I endeavored to know the truth as best I could. In the morning I put on my shoe and went to business. By night the discordant condition had entirely disappeared.

An abscessed condition which developed on my hip was healed without loss of time from my work, and no pain was experienced. No one in the office knew that the condition existed. Business difficulties have been harmoniously adjusted. The greatest blessing that has come to me is the health which has been maintained all these years, as the result of the study of the Bible and Science and Health.

During the early period of my study of Christian Science I had the privilege of having class instruction. This has been of inestimable value to me.
