Gabriel

"The Gabriel of His presence has no contests."—Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, page 567.

No contest is where Gabriel spreads his wings—
In consciousness where good alone is real
No foe is found, no din of warfare heard.
Here is no sin or suffering to heal,
For peace is here, gentler than soft-winged dove,
In this sweet, safe abiding place of Love.

Through Michael's strength we tread temptation down.
Before his might the hosts of error fall.
But Gabriel it is whose tender touch
Awakes the heart to know that God is All;
Who calms the storms of hate and fear and will,
And gently bids the winds and waves be still.

No conflict is, or dream of earthly things,
When Gabriel comes with healing in his wings.
