I am grateful to God, to Christ Jesus our Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, our dear Leader, for all the healings and blessings I have received during the past eighteen years. I am grateful for the full and complete revelation of the Science of Christianity which Mrs. Eddy has given to us in her textbook, Science and Health.

From early childhood until 1925 I was continuously under the care of physicians for heart trouble with attendant fainting spells, ingrown goiter, extreme nervousness, and a stomach ailment. I was advised to leave school at an early age or pay the penalty of spending the balance of my life in an invalid's chair. I tried to work, but was unable to keep a job for any length of time. Finally, I was told that I must have an operation for the goiter. At this time I heard about Christian Science and its healing power, so I decided to try it.

After my first visit to a practitioner all trace of the goiter disappeared, together with the stomach trouble, and I have not had a fainting spell since. About three years ago another phase of fainting was manifested, but it too has been healed.

Since I began the study of Christian Science I have been healed of sinus trouble, headaches, burns, sprains, effects of a serious accident, and many other discordant conditions. The healing of sinus trouble has always been an inspiration to me when there is any doubt or fear to be overcome.

I am most humbly thankful for the recent healing of a serious difficulty of nearly two years' standing. During this experience these words of Jesus often came to my thought: "Look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." Another statement of invaluable help was frequently read to me from page 495 of our textbook. "Let Christian Science, instead of corporeal sense, support your understanding of being, and this understanding will supplant error with Truth, replace mortality with immortality, and silence discord with harmony." Once during this illness a member of my family left the room thinking I had passed on. But through the constant ever-loving, and unselfish help of a practitioner I regained normal action, sight, and memory, and am now up and "about my Father's business."

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for the privilege I had of teaching in the Christian Science Sunday School.

I wish to express my gratitude for Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader, and for the healing truth that has come through her discovery. I have relied on Christian Science for healing for more than seventeen years, and it has always met my need.
