The Mother Church and its branches throughout the world are doing a great work for the redemption of mankind. Their activities are essential to the mission of Christian Science in redeeming the world from sin, disease, and death. Recognizing the imperative mission of The Mother Church, Mrs. Eddy referred to it as the "mouthpiece of Christian Science" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 247). All Christian Scientists desire that the voice of The Mother Church should be heard throughout the length and breadth of the earth, proclaiming the power of the Christ, Truth, and ushering in the kingdom of heaven among men. Christian Scientists can well serve the Cause by supporting The Mother Church and its branches through membership and by working in unity with other members who, forsaking the evidence of the senses, cleave fast to the spiritual ideas of divine Mind.

Doubtless many Christian Scientists throughout the Field are contemplating membership in The Mother Church. Such students will find it helpful to read carefully the editorial concerning church membership in this issue of the Sentinel.

When applications for membership in The Mother Church are correctly prepared and forwarded to the Clerk's office, they will be given impartial and loving consideration.
