Peace

MILES BUCKSTON WATTS

Oh, bounteous boon of harmony,
When mid the storm of warring will
I hear in gentle cadency
Christ's benediction, "Peace, be still";
When angel songs of gratitude
Awake within my vexèd breast,
And in Love's sweet beatitude
I find the truth made manifest.
