"Desire is prayer"*
Dost
thou desire humility?
Then thou must realize
'Tis Love that doeth all the works,
That heals and sanctifies.
Dost thou desire nobility,
The path of Truth to tread?
Then thou must recognize the real,
The Christ, thy fountainhead.
Dost thou desire eternity,
Life joyous, endless, free?
Then thou must know that Life is God;
Thus only shalt thou see
Thyself as His reflection pure,
His likeness unafraid.
So thy desire shall be fulfilled,
Even as thou hast prayed.
