Communion with God

THE belief in evil's power has been radically challenged through the discovery of Christian Science by Mary Baker Eddy. The recognition of God's almightiness and the resultant nothingness of error gives one, during his journey from sense to Soul, with its varied struggles, a strong impulse to eliminate wrong thoughts by the might of spiritual right thinking. The efficacy of Christian Science healing rests on the fact of the ever-present availability of divine Mind, and the insistence that this fact be practically demonstrated, instead of being considered as a transcendental theory too good to be true.

Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 493), "Mind must be found superior to all the beliefs of the five corporeal senses, and able to destroy all ills." Throughout her inspired writings she stresses the necessity for demonstration of the truth of her teaching. She herself proved by her lifework that Truth understood can be demonstrated. In its claim for thoroughness in work, sublime faith, fervent understanding, and complete surrender to Him who made all things, Christian Science stands supreme.

Is the student's faith wavering, and does he lack the conviction that "God . . . is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think"? A thorough searching of the heart will soon reveal to him where he is standing.
