"I am the way"

The way of Truth is long, the path is steep;
But he who bravely perseveres shall reap
The full reward of courage. He shall find
The blessed pastures in the realm of Mind.

The way is broad that leads no man aright,
But wanders in the pitfalls of the night;
Wise is the pilgrim who, o'ercoming strife,
Shall choose the path to everlasting Life.

He shall perceive beyond the final hill
The promised land, and learn the Father's will;
And he shall rest at last, at Truth's commanding,
In Love that passeth human understanding.
