A Christian Science period in the "Columbia West Coast Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station KVI, Tacoma, Washington, on Sunday morning, December 8, 1940, at eight o'clock (Pacific Standard Time), by Dr. Randall S. Williams, a former First Reader of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Tacoma, with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Mr. A. F. Sundvall, soloist, was assisted by Mr. Ronald Hooper at the piano.

The program opened with Hymn No. 267 from the Christian Science Hymnal.

Dr. Williams then read selections from the Bible as follows: I Chronicles 29:10—13; Isaiah 44:6, 8; 41:10—13; 43:2, 3 (to:); Acts 17:22—28; Mark 12:28—34 (to first period); and from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 275:6—24; 336:23—24; 127:4—8, 16—19; 473:7—15; 25:13—21; 347:23—29; 331:11—13, 18—25; 339:7—10, 20—25.
