Through Christian Science I have learned to understand these words from the ninety-first Psalm: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust." Right understanding of these words brings harmony every day and every hour.

Many years ago I fell from a horse and hurt both my legs severely. The hip joints were affected, so that one leg became shorter than the other. I was so lame that I could hardly walk, and most of the time I stayed in bed and experienced a great deal of pain. I consulted several physicians, and they treated me with X rays, mud baths, hot baths, cupping, and massage. Medical science had never recorded a similar case, and was powerless to heal it. This condition lasted for about nine years. All the physicians were very kind, and told me that perhaps in a few years I could be helped. Several times I told them my inmost thought, that sometime I should be restored.

Three years ago I met a student of Christian Science, and as a consequence of that meeting I began to go to church. There I found what I had longed for so fervently. I consulted a Christian Science practitioner, and asked for treatment. After a few weeks I felt much better, and at the end of two months I was able to walk. My legs were the same length, and the pain was gone. I could scarcely believe that my healing was complete, and cannot sufficiently express my great gratitude.
