I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science...

I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and tell of some of the ways in which it has blessed my family and me. My mother was interested in Science before my birth, so that I was reared in a home where Christian Science was relied upon in every circumstance. This is certainly a cause for much gratitude. I attended the Christian Science Sunday School as long as possible, and I shall always be grateful to have had this privilege, as well as to the teachers who helped me to gain spiritual understanding. I am grateful for the spiritual interpretation of the First Commandment which I learned there. This has been a great help to me many times, for it has taught me to search my thinking to see wherein I may be bowing down to false gods, and so be able to turn again to the one God.

I am grateful for the wonderful protection Christian Science has been to me in my life of travel and change. One of our hymns has helped me along this line:
