It is my desire to express my sincere gratitude for blessings received through Christian Science, so joining the multitude with happy hearts who have proved its healing power.

When I first interviewed a Christian Science practitioner, I was suffering from the effects of an accident in which the truck I was driving had been run down and quite destroyed by a train at a level crossing. I was hurled some distance and incurred various injuries. When these injuries and contusions had healed, I was left with a condition diagnosed as congestion of the brain. The doctors quite candidly told me that it was a toss-up whether I should recover or not, and prescribed a complete rest for about two years.

When six months of this resting had passed, with no resultant improvement whatever, I asked a Christian Science practitioner to visit me and then began the earnest study of Christian Science. To please a dear one, I had previously read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, but felt I could not understand it. Following the practitioner's visit, absent treatment was given, and I continued appreciatively studying the textbook and applying what I understood of it. One month after treatment was begun I was able to return to my home and resume my legitimate occupation of orcharding. With continued study on my part, and occasional help from the practitioner, I was able to keep about my business, and within nine months was working full time, completely healed.
