Christian Science has made life a rich and glorious experience...

Christian Science has made life a rich and glorious experience for me. For thirty years I have had daily proof of its healing and protecting power. It has enabled me to demonstrate harmony and loving relationships in my home, and to rise superior to the suggestions of grief and separation when my husband and little son passed on. Needless to say, I am deeply grateful to our inspired Leader, and to all of the loyal Christian Scientists who have been instrumental in furthering the Cause of Christian Science.

As a child I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School for two years. But for several years thereafter I was compelled to attend other denominational Sunday schools. The conflicting creeds bothered me, and out of curiosity I began to read about religions of all kinds, as well as philosophy; and finally, while yet in my teens, I turned completely away from all religion. But deep down in my heart was the seed which had been sown in the Christian Science Sunday School, and I knew that I should turn again to this Science for help when I needed it.

I am very grateful that the need came a few years later, when my young husband started in business with practically no capital. His credit, however, was extensive, and before many months we found ourselves deeply in debt and with practically no business. In fact, for twelve days no customer had entered our place of business. One morning, when we were both so discouraged that we seemed at the breaking point, I took up a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and said to myself, "If this book cannot help us, nothing else can." After I had read for almost an hour, not only was I instantly healed of all fear and worry, but I seemed to be changed mentally and morally. Life became to me at that moment a new and interesting experience. About an hour later, my husband telephoned me and said that he was so rushed with business that he could not handle it all. That business continued to prosper; debts were paid, and success followed.
