In 1932 I fell ill and had to take to my bed. I had severe pains in the loins as well as the kidneys. We consulted a doctor, who diagnosed the trouble as inflammation of the renal pelvis and the bladder. After a week he examined me again because I had a high fever. He then stated that I also had abdominal inflammation. Because of this, a speedy removal to a hospital was necessary, where I lay for four weeks under observation, after which another examination followed and a tumor was found in the abdomen. There was no improvement except that the fever abated. After another eight weeks I was examined once more, and it was determined that I had two tumors in the abdomen. My husband, who had spoken with the doctor, was informed that an operation was not possible, lest there be danger of suppuration of the abdominal cavity. Thereupon, after I had been in the hospital for three months, I was released unhealed a month before Christmas, with the advice that I should return in January.

A few days after my return from the hospital my husband spoke about Christian Science, to which friends had called our attention. I now turned to a practitioner, who lovingly aided me. When I think back on this experience today, it seems to me like a miracle, so quickly did the healing take place. At the end of January, 1933, the doctor examined me once again and no sign of the condition was found. With steadfast truth in God I experienced this wonderful healing, and I thank God with all my heart. I give thanks also to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, as well as to the practitioner.

In financial and business matters also we have experienced much good through Christian Science. God's ways are wonderful. Glory be to God!
