Several years ago I experienced mental trouble. This induced me to look for something to free me. At that time my attention was drawn to the Coué method of suggestion. I applied its formulas daily in the morning and evening. At times I gained relief, but instead of getting better, as a formula concluded, I got worse and worse. Increasing melancholy made my life unbearable.

In this great mental distress I was led to Christian Science. I shall never forget the day I called upon a practitioner. Her great, sympathetic patience and her assurance that I could be free again gave me new courage and strength. I procured the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and studied it thoroughly. A mental struggle began in me that often brought me almost to despair. But through the help of the practitioner and through my own study I gradually became free from the melancholy.

In our family we have been privileged to experience many other proofs of the healing power of Christian Science, among them the healing of blood poisoning, grippe, and burns. One case, which the doctor stated was serious stomach colic, was healed instantaneously. Also in meeting the problem of supply we have had wonderful demonstrations.
