New Members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship

George Channing, C. S. B., received his education in Providence, Rhode Island, having been graduated from one of its public schools and from Brown University. He studied law at Yale and Boston Universities, and became engaged in newspaper work for ten years, which was interrupted by service as a soldier overseas during the World War. At the close of the war he received healing in Christian Science, and shortly thereafter joined The Mother Church. For two years he was Advertising Representative in San Francisco for The Christian Science Monitor.

Mr. Channing is a member of Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, San Francisco, and has served as its First Reader and President. He received Primary Class instruction in 1926, and entered the public practice of Christian Science healing in the same year. In 1932 he was appointed Committee on Publication for Northern California, in which office he has served continuously until relinquishing it at the present time to accept his new appointment. In 1934 he received instruction in the Normal Class of the Board of Education and became a teacher of Christian Science.

Miss Lucia C. Coulson, C.S.B., was born in London, England, and received her early education at home from French, German, and English governesses. She finished her education on the Continent, specializing in art, music, and languages. Miss Coulson's interest in Christian Science extends from the year 1908. She united in membership with The Mother Church and a branch church in 1911. Miss Coulson has been identified with the activities of the Christian Science movement in London, England, serving Seventh Church of Christ, Scientist, there as a member of its Board of Directors, and in its Sunday school. She has been engaged since 1915 in the practice of Christian Science healing.
