New Members of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship

George Channing, C. S. B., received his education in Providence, Rhode Island, having been graduated from one of its public schools and from Brown University. He studied law at Yale and Boston Universities, and became engaged in newspaper work for ten years, which was interrupted by service as a soldier overseas during the World War. At the close of the war he received healing in Christian Science, and shortly thereafter joined The Mother Church. For two years he was Advertising Representative in San Francisco for The Christian Science Monitor.

Mr. Channing is a member of Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, San Francisco, and has served as its First Reader and President. He received Primary Class instruction in 1926, and entered the public practice of Christian Science healing in the same year. In 1932 he was appointed Committee on Publication for Northern California, in which office he has served continuously until relinquishing it at the present time to accept his new appointment. In 1934 he received instruction in the Normal Class of the Board of Education and became a teacher of Christian Science.
