I have been in Christian Science for twenty-seven years,...

I have been in Christian Science for twenty-seven years, and am indeed thankful for the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church and a branch church; also for class instruction. I came to Truth for healing, after I had been ill for many years and had been given only three months to live. I was healed overnight by a practitioner whom I had never met until the day before she came and gave me the saving message of Truth. She told me kindly that I did not need to be in that condition, and talked to me for two hours, expounding the Scriptures. She gave me a copy of the Christian Science Sentinel to read, and said she would give me treatment if I desired. I replied, "I want your help, and money is no object." I began to think of different things I had read in the Bible, for I had been a student of the Scriptures all my life. I did not sleep that night, but silently prayed the hours away, and arose in the morning healed.

That night I found my Father-Mother God and realized that my Redeemer lives. There was no doubt in my thought that I had found the "pearl of great price." I wanted to be able to give the message of Truth to others as I had been given it. I prayed, "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." And as the desire to work in the vineyard of Truth grew, I was blessed. My family have also become followers of this truth. Through steadfast study of our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I have seen one, born a cripple, healed, and at thirteen months walk with the lightest footstep I have ever seen. I have seen all manner of ills of the flesh disappear. The Bible has become a chart of Life for me.

I praise God for the Christian Science movement; for the presence of Christ; for our dear and noble Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. Life would be a blank to me without the teaching of Christian Science. The daily, weekly, and monthly literature is a constant blessing. Knowing that God's promises are true, the Master said, "Seek, and ye shall find." Paul says, "In every thing give thanks." In the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, what a wealth of love and gratitude wells up in the seeker's heart, for this provision for a chance each day to "grow in grace"!—(Mrs.) Delphia M.
