Christian Science has brought me so many blessings...
Christian Science has brought me so many blessings I hardly know where to begin when expressing my gratitude. A few years ago, illness and unhappiness forced me to leave college, and it was at this time that I turned to Christian Science. It restored my health and taught me what real joy and happiness are. I now understand what is meant in the Bible verse, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
I was healed of many troubles just through reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. When I began to learn the truth about God and man as taught in this book, a bad case of sunburn was quickly cured; also I was healed of very round shoulders and a hollow back, for which I had taken special corrective exercises since the age of twelve. The desire to smoke left me, and the belief that intoxicating drink is enjoyable was overcome. Through treatment from a Christian Science practitioner colds have disappeared and severe menstrual pains have ceased. All such healings are so very natural and such joyous experiences that I cannot thank God enough for Christian Science. Since turning to this wonderful healing religion, I have never been sick in bed, with the exception of a single day. I have not taken any drugs or laxatives for my health, and I am better physically than I ever was before. The awakening from the nightmares of material sense into the beautiful dawn of spiritual sense is a blessed experience.
One of the greatest unfoldments that come with a study of Christian Science is an appreciation of the Bible. Science and Health is indeed a "key" to the Scriptures; it turns one to the sacred pages and illumines them. What a wonderful privilege to begin to comprehend the teachings of Jesus!
