Morning Prayer

When in the morning hour of prayer I heed Thy voice,
Fresh joy arises in my heart to meet the day,
Joy born of daily proof of Thy sure power
To lead me in right paths throughout my way.

With fear and doubt dispelled I wait on Thee,
The strength of steadfast purpose born anew.
I feel that peace which Love alone bestows;
With gladness I go forth Thy work to do.
