Christian Science has brought so many blessings into my experience that I should like to express, in a measure, my gratitude to God for these blessings.

The first healing in our family was that of our young son. At this time we were not interested in Christian Science, but my mother asked me to try it for him. As a result of whooping cough the child had been left with an almost constant cough. We had had his tonsils removed, being assured that this would cure the cough, but he grew steadily worse. The physician told us that we would have to have his throat scraped; that this would not be a permanent cure, but would bring temporary relief. We were unwilling to submit him to this very painful operation, and so when my mother recommended Christian Science, we asked for help from a practitioner. The child was completely and permanently healed in about two weeks.

Some few years ago, after being a student of Christian Science for some time, I discovered a very ugly growth on the inside of the upper eyelid. From the beginning there was a deep desire to work this problem out by myself, for shortly before I had had class instruction. The first thing of which I needed to be healed was the fear of fear. Then came a determination never to look at' the growth, or speak of it, and to work as consistently and patiently as I was able. I took the book of Nehemiah and pondered and ap plied those great truths that we are taught in Christian Science, and as Nehemiah applied them when he was building and repairing the wall around Jerusalem. At first I worked daily, then not so often—only when it presented itself to thought, and then suddenly I realized that I had not worked for weeks. During all this time, and it must have been over a period of three or four months, I had never looked at the growth or spoken of it. While motoring one day, I found it necessary to remove a small bug from my eye and found the lid entirely healed.
