With a sense of deep gratitude to God for the demonstrable teaching of Christian Science, as it is presented in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I should like to give a testimony.

In 1918 I was taken with articular rheumatism of the severest kind, so that twice I could not attend school, each time for a period of three months. In the following three years my parents had four doctors treat me, but with only temporary success. In addition, heart trouble and tuberculosis developed, as the last doctor ascertained. In this troublesome period a friend called my mother's attention to Christian Science. She at once attended the serviced and had a practitioner treat me.

"What manner of love the Father-hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God." I experienced this love, for after a few days the symptoms of illness noticeably lessened. Two months later I was able to attend the Sunday school, with a joyful sense of the divine presence. What I learned there, I can but truly treasure as the finest contribution to physical and mental support. What we had considered impossible became possible. I grew quite strong; the heart trouble disappeared into nothingness, and I lost all fear of being affected by the weather. Later, I was able to witness my mother's healing, through Christian Science, of gallstone colic within a month, after material help had failed. We found loving Christian Science help in the proof that "now is the day of salvation." Since then I have come to understand God as "our refuge and strength," and I am happy from that time on to have had only Christian Science religious instruction.
