Love's Offering to Love

"For all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee." I Chronicles 29:14

And when we give to Thee
We only do return what came from Thee,
Who giveth us all things:

The gladsome voice that sings Thy praise;
The listening ear that hears with gratitude
Thy glories sung,
Or heeds the meek request of one
Who seeks Thy healing truth;
The understanding heart that overflows
And reaches out, embracing all mankind;
The willing feet that haste
Thy errands to perform;
The ready hands that labor long,
Nor irksome find
The tasks that Thou hast given;
The eager lips that day by day declare
The honor due Thy holy name;
The tender touch that meets a brother's need,
With comfort fraught.
All good and perfect things come down from Love,
To all who will receive.
And as good stewards of Thy bounteous grace,
They, with rejoicing,
Return Thy precious gifts to Thee.
