When I became interested in Christian Science, about...
When I became interested in Christian Science, about twenty years ago, I was a semi-invalid and a nervous wreck. Although I did not accept Christian Science fully for some time, I had many beautiful healings. I have been healed of hay fever, double curvature of the spine, constipation of many years' standing, and periodic spells of biliousness, with accompanying headaches. I was also healed of grief at the passing on of my mother, and fear and worry have been lessened.
I should like to tell of my most outstanding healing. At the time of this healing I had been in bondage to a trouble that caused great nervousness. I had arrived at such a state that I was beginning to fear for my reason. I could see that my husband did not realize my condition. On retiring that night he spoke a few words of sympathy to me, and my answer to him quickly showed him the error that needed healing; and immediately I felt as though a very thin garment were slipping from me, and as it slid from off my feet I was free from all the terrible thoughts that had filled my consciousness all day. I am most grateful for these healings, and that they were brought about in our own home through our understanding.
I am grateful to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her courage in standing for her convictions; also for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for class instruction, and for the privilege of working in different capacities in the church.
