With a grateful heart I should like to bear witness to the wonderful healing which came to me through Christian Science. For a number of years I suffered from biliary colic. About three years ago the trouble became so severe that it developed into jaundice. I suffered such extreme pain that I could neither walk nor lie down. The physician wished to send me to the hospital for an operation, but neither my husband nor I would consent to that. I no longer had confidence in the physician and turned to another; but the latter also was unable to help me. My sister-in-law, who is a Christian Scientist, told me about this Science and gave me the address of a practitioner, who came to my aid at once and explained to me that God's love is ever present and that we are all under His protection. The practitioner began to work for me, and before she left the house I was entirely free from the severe pain. A half hour afterwards I was able to sit up, whereas previously I had been unable to move. The physician is surprised even today that I have not had any further attack.

Six months later I contracted intestinal colic. I wrote to the practitioner for absent treatment, and again her work for me was so thorough that I was healed immediately. I did not employ a physician nor have any further pain, and I cannot be grateful enough to God for these wonderful healings.

I also think gratefully of the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy; and I thank the practitioner for her great love. I am grateful for the spiritual understanding which Christian Science has given me.
