The blessings which I have experienced since coming into Christian Science six years ago are indeed many, but I wish to relate particularly one experience which was outstanding.

It appeared necessary for me to engage the services of a doctor because of what I thought was pregnancy. He, however, pronounced the condition that of tumor and advised me to have immediate attention. Help from a Christian Science practitioner was then employed and I was told that the only growth I could experience was that of grace and understanding. The following day to my own astonishment and that of my family almost every manifestation of enlargement had disappeared. Mrs. Eddy says, "In patient obedience to a patientGod, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error,—self-will, self-justification, and self-love,—which wars against spirituality" (Science and Health, p. 242). That this can be applied to physical conditions was proved to me, for about five days later even the slightest evidence of enlargement had disappeared. About three weeks later normal function of the organs, which had been interrupted for seven months, was reëstablished. It is now four years since this demonstration took place.

This is only one of the many healings I have had in Christian Science. I have demonstrated supply, and am learning where true substance comes from, for are we not told to seek "first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added"? I know that "all things work together for good to them that love God." Problems make us search and seek more of God's way. I am extremely grateful to our Leader, who gave her life's work to the world, so blessing it beyond measure. I am grateful for The Mother Church and all its activities, for our periodicals, for class instruction; and my desire is to live a life of gratitude and service.—(Mrs.) Bertha B.
