In an article dealing with the subject of immortality your correspondent mentions a group of famous people who since the world war have given prominence to spiritualism, and among them he mentions Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
Replying to a correspondent, let me say that a lie is always enmity against the truth, but it is seen to have no reality or entity when the truth is discerned.
Having been requested by a correspondent of your esteemed newspaper to write a few words with reference to the much discussed theatrical play "In the Beginning was the Word," I gratefully take this opportunity to do so.

Twenty years ago I took up the study of Christian Science after many years as a busy worker in one of the evangelical denominations.
A sense of deep gratitude for the unfailing help of Christian Science during the past eighteen years prompts a desire to share my blessings with others who may find inspiration therein.
Christian Science came into my life about five years ago.
The blessings which I have experienced since coming into Christian Science six years ago are indeed many, but I wish to relate particularly one experience which was outstanding.
As long as I can remember I was not strong but was in a state of nervous exhaustion; and as I grew to girlhood I did not seem to improve, for a great sense of dread was always over me.
In March, 1924, when our baby was two months old, I had a severe nervous breakdown.
It is sincere love and gratitude for Christian Science which prompts me to give this testimony of healing.
It is over eighteen years since I received an awakening in Christian Science which enabled me to heal myself of a severe case of pneumonia.
Seven years ago, as a result of deep disappointments, I became severely ill with melancholia.
Do not only contend with evil thoughts or inclinations of the will but get thyself earnestly engaged with a good thought or purpose until those evil thoughts vanish.
