Christian Science has met my needs for the past eighteen years. All my childhood was spent under materia medica, with a physician living in our home and giving me much time and care. St. Vitus's dance was one of the troubles which left me in a nervous state in later years. My mother was also a semi-invalid for a long time.

My first acquaintance with Christian Science came when we moved into the home of a practitioner. Through her helpful thoughts and loving-kindness to us we were helped over many rough places, and we soon realized that she had an understanding of something which was meeting many of our needs. Through her help I secured a position in another city. My mother at this time was suffering from what was called lingering consumption, and had coughed for many years. After moving to that distant city she again had a very severe attack of the lung difficulty. A telegram was sent to our friend in the morning, and in the afternoon my mother was up and dressed, completely healed; and there never was a return of the trouble. Still I was not ready to turn to this truth for myself.

About a year later my own physical condition made it necessary for me to have a physician; but not receiving any help I again wired this practitioner, and was then ready to depend entirely upon Christian Science. This was a slow healing, my immediate need being freedom from kidney trouble. During that period of growth other problems were met and constipation of eight years' standing, chronic appendicitis, which had caused me much suffering, quinsy sore throat, and many other troubles disappeared.
