My first healing through Christian Science was of eyestrain
My first healing through Christian Science was of eyestrain. However, I did not study this Science much until a few years later when, after a week's treatment by a doctor had failed to help me, I was healed of pneumonia. Upon asking a practitioner for treatment, I began to improve at once. Then I took up the study of Christian Science seriously. The truth thus learned has proved its value many times in the healing of burns, sprained ankle, and influenza, as well as in protection.
I am thankful our children have always had Christian Science, have never taken medicine, and have always depended on the truth to solve all problems of school work as well as of health.
Three years ago I was healed of what is called "athlete's foot," which had developed into blood poisoning, although it was three months before all the evidence disappeared. I am indeed grateful for the lessons learned while relying on Christian Science more seriously than ever before. Also, much appreciation goes to the practitioner, who was ready to help me at any time of day or night. One evening about a year ago I feared the return of the trouble, because of the appearance of my foot between two toes. I knew the healing had been accomplished two years before, so I declared that Truth could not be reversed. The next day the foot was healed, and I think the fear entirely disappeared then.
