A block of eight four-story apartment houses at the corner of Norway Street and Huntington Avenue, which has occupied the corner adjacent to the Church park, is now being razed. The houses were not new when purchased many years ago, and at this time they have become unprofitable, as they would require much repair if they were to continue to be occupied. All things considered, it seems the part of wisdom to remove these structures now and to add the land they occupy to the Church park. In the spring this section will be landscaped and planted to harmonize with the whole design of the Church park.

Again a trip through the tunnel from the basement of the present Publishing House to the interior of the new building disclosed definite progress in its preparation for at least partial occupancy in five months. The heating pipes running through the tunnel are now covered with asbestos to conserve the heat. The air-washer compartments which are part of the heating system are being installed, and we entered one of them—a pleasanter venture now than it will be later when the hot air is being forced through a rainstorm of water to be purified and humidified. A large intake is arranged, with shutters, to admit whatever quantity of air from out of doors may be required. It will pass by a coil of pipe where it is heated, then drawn through the air-washer by the operating of a large fan. The sheet of water through which the heated air is to be forced will be used over again until it becomes slightly discolored, when fresh water will be drawn.
