I thank God for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me and to my family. I had been a great sufferer for so many years that I felt utterly hopeless of ever being well again, until Christian Science was presented to me. Intuitively I knew that here was the truth which our Master had taught would make us free, and which I had often wished might be found once more, though I had supposed that this could be possible only in some future state.

At once I bought a copy of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and my husband and I began to study it in conjunction with the Bible. We also sought the help of practitioner, with the result that almost immediately I was healed of the internal trouble which had caused me so much suffering. This joyous experience was followed by the healing of severe headaches which had often prostrated me for days at a time; also of acute varicose vein trouble, hay fever, a weak throat, and general nervous debility. I shall never forget the unspeakable sense of light which came flooding into my consciousness as these healings took place. I seemed to be in a new world and the former things had passed away.

Deeply grateful as I am for the mental and physical healing, it is not to be compared with the gratitude I feel for the awakening that came to me as the knowledge of the allness of God and my own true selfhood as His image and likeness began to dawn upon my thought; and I know that this spiritual awakening is increased as I try to live closer to God, and to understand that He is the only Mind, the cause and source of all that is real and good, true and lovely, and of nothing else; and that man, as His reflection, can know and experience only that which God knows. During the twenty-three years which have intervened since we turned to Christian Science, my husband and I and our children have relied entirely on it for the solution of all our problems.
