I took up the study of Christian Science when seeking healing from a chronic bowel disease which I had had for twelve years. I had been told by physicians there was no cure for me. After one month of Christian Science treatment I was entirely healed of the disease. Since that time, over seventeen years ago, my husband and I and our two children have been healed of many ills through the application of Christian Science.

When our daughter was about five years of age there was an epidemic of spinal meningitis in the town in which we lived. She became ill with all the symptoms of the disease, but we did not have her case diagnosed. We were so alarmed that a friend, who was a more experienced Scientist, asked us to come and stay with her while the child was sick. One night, after the child had been ill a week, this friend asked my husband to read the first verse of the thirteenth chapter of Romans: "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God." The child was instantly healed, and was up and well the following morning. Our son was healed of kidney trouble which had caused him great annoyance since birth. My brother was healed of the same disease in one week's treatment.

I am grateful for class instruction and for the privilege of working in a branch church.
