Christian Science first claimed my attention about nine years ago, when I witnessed the healing through absent treatment of an acquaintance; but I did not think of applying such a remedy to any ailment of my own until I was compelled to do so.

For many years I had been having attacks of lumbago, which materia medica was unable to relieve. These gradually became more serious and frequent, till I finally sought a Christian Science practitioner to see if she could do something to relieve the pain. After five treatments I knew that I not only had obtained relief, but was completely healed of the ailment. That was eight years ago, and there has never been a recurrence of the trouble.

A year later I was as quickly and thoroughly healed of cancer on my face; and more recently I have had a wonderful healing of sinus trouble. This last difficulty dated back about forty-five years, when at the age of seventeen I developed catarrh; but it did not become serious until two years ago. This last healing was slow, and during this time I had also to overcome a sense of the loss of my husband and home. I now see that all this caused me to study more, thereby gaining more of spiritual understanding than I might otherwise have done.
