Christian Science first claimed my attention about nine years ago, when I witnessed the healing through absent treatment of an acquaintance; but I did not think of applying such a remedy to any ailment of my own until I was compelled to do so.

For many years I had been having attacks of lumbago, which materia medica was unable to relieve. These gradually became more serious and frequent, till I finally sought a Christian Science practitioner to see if she could do something to relieve the pain. After five treatments I knew that I not only had obtained relief, but was completely healed of the ailment. That was eight years ago, and there has never been a recurrence of the trouble.
