Merriam, Kansas (First Church).—Christian Scientists have started the erection of a new church edifice on their present site in Merriam. The new building will face south, with the main entrance at the southwest corner. A Reading Room will be placed off the southeast corner of the main auditorium. It will also have an outside entrance.

The main auditorium will have a seating capacity of one hundred and eighty, which can be increased by the use of the Reading Room. The outside walls will be of brick and cast stone and the interior walls will be finished with California stucco. The church will not only be a structure of beauty and attractiveness, but will be an added feature to the community of Merriam.—
